Day 7, #fmsphotoaday Reading

I love my cookbooks! Don’t cook from them often enough, but when I do, I am happy…helps me realize…hey..maybe I can cook!

No, I’m not vegan, but diggin the whole food ingredients!

Below are some sunset pics from the home! Thinking about my friend coming home from LA after having surgery today for cancer as I was taking these. She is back home now, recovering. Thankful for that!

Happy Birthday to my Dad!!!!!!

Dear Dad,

Even though you are half way around the world, I am always reminded of your wise words….Be HAPPY! You have always told this to Raj and I since we were little kids…simple words, but so much meaning and so true. Thanks Dad.

I hope your day is filled with memories, time at the club and with family…and when you visit next year, we;ll have to celebrate with a couple of Margaritas…or how you call it…Maggies!!!!!! Lova!

Herbal

So many days

throughout the year

I drink my cup of herbal cheer.

It warms the body

and calms the soul.

No fragrance, tint or taste is missed,

in Nature’s wonderous

teatime gift.

Found this lovely poem on the box of some tea I purchased in Kauai the last time we visited there. The cup pictured above was give to me by my friend Tobi…an amazing author, poet, mountain bike rider, champion of women’s empowerment, and fellow “squiggle.” It’s my favorite bug to drink tea in. It’s what I am drinking tea in as I type this post. Somethings are just mean to be…this mug is mean to filled with tea at all times!
